This Pathfinders Da Vinci siege engine wooden kit is a working recreation inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s 15th Century design for trebuchet, and has been designed from drawings in the Codus Atlanticus.
The design uses a counterweight in the basket, then the cog mechanism is used to tension the string. When the model is built, load the clay ball ( included with the kit) into the sling, release the lock from the cog and watch the ball fly!
The model will hurl clay balls ( included) up to 4 metres!
Who is this kit for?
